topper walking map .png

These are the locations where toppers were placed.

Blue= regular topper; red=street signs are on a light pole; purple=existing topper (and can re-use hardware!); purple with empty middle=existing topper but not sure if we’ll put new one in that location; green x=another location worked better

Our previous toppers. Some—like one side of the McPherson-Hillsdale topper—have escaped the elements, but most were pretty faded. We’re interested in knowing when they were installed, if anyone has any information! Update: they were installed in the mid-1990s. Thanks to Bob Meyer for some sleuthing and to Brian Huggler who drove the initial project!

Some examples of toppers in other neighborhoods around Lansing: Holmes Street School Community, Moores Park, Sycamore Park, on Grand River in Old Town, Lansing-Eaton, and the Old Everett Area.
